What this course is for

The design principle is simple: you cannot learn to defend a network by reading about it. Roughly half the programme is spent in labs, running reconnaissance, reading logs, triaging alerts, and responding to simulated incidents on systems that behave like the ones you will meet at work.

04. Industry tooling: Nmap, Metasploit, Wireshark
The tools that appear in job descriptions, used against live lab targets.
05. System and network defence mechanisms
Hardening, segmentation and defence in depth as deliberate architecture.
06. Firewalls, IDS/IPS and endpoint security
Where detections come from, and why so many of them are false positives.
07. SOC operations and incident response fundamentals
The analyst workflow: detect, triage, escalate, contain, document.
08. Log analysis, SIEM basics and alert triage
Reading raw telemetry and deciding what deserves a human's attention.
09. Cyber security law, compliance and ethics
The legal boundaries of security work in India, and why they matter to your employability.
10. Live labs and real-world attack simulations
Full attack-and-defend scenarios run against instrumented environments.
11. EC-Council aligned curriculum (CEH & C|CT readiness)
Certification mapping so exam preparation and job preparation are the same effort.

Cyber law and compliance, a full capstone assessment, mock certification exams, resume work and interview practice.

  • Run a complete reconnaissance and enumeration exercise against a scoped lab network
  • Exploit a vulnerable host, escalate privilege, and document the path you took
  • Work a live SIEM alert queue containing far more noise than signal
  • Reconstruct an intrusion timeline by correlating firewall, endpoint and identity logs
  • Triage a suspected phishing compromise from initial report to containment decision
  • Analyse a ransomware simulation and produce a recovery plan
  • Harden a misconfigured Windows and Linux environment, then verify your work

This programme is not a single-exam course. It prepares you for two. The curriculum is mapped to EC-Council CEH (exam code 312-50) and the Certified Cybersecurity Technician, C|CT (exam code 212-82). Vouchers for either are purchased separately from EC-Council; we will quote current pricing at enrolment.

Is this cyber security course suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. The Basics Mastery Course includes the full Foundation Track, so it assumes no prior security knowledge. What it does assume is commitment, 120 hours with substantial lab time is a serious investment, and it is designed for people who want a job at the end of it.

Can I take this course while working full time?

Yes. We run weekend and evening batches specifically for working professionals in Bangalore, and the same programme is available online for learners elsewhere in India. Lab environments remain accessible outside session hours.

What is the difference between this and the CEH course?

CEH is a focused 40-hour certification course in attacker methodology. The Basics Mastery Course is a 120-hour career programme that covers defence, SOC operations and compliance alongside ethical hacking, and prepares you for CEH along the way. If your goal is a job rather than a specific badge, start here.

Do you provide placement support?

Yes. The programme includes resume building, mock interviews and placement assistance. We are direct about what that means: we prepare you and introduce you to hiring opportunities, but no training provider can guarantee a job offer. Be cautious of any that claims otherwise.

Which certification should I take after this course?

Most learners go on to CEH or the EC-Council C|CT. If your interest is defensive work, CSA (Certified SOC Analyst) is usually the stronger next step for employability in Bangalore's SOC-heavy market.
